Welcome to our school website.
We have so far had an exciting and busy academic year with many changes and exciting events. Looking back at the start of the academic year when we had our new intake of Nursery and Reception Children, I can remember writing about them settling into school. It is great to see how they have grown in confidence and are excited about learning and daily school life. All our children have settled well into our school community and are growing in statue and confidence.
We have done a number of exciting things since the start of the 2013. In January all the children were treated to a pantomime in school . This was enjoyed by children and staff. The children have also had the opportunity to take part in a number of educational visits. For example, Y5 and 6 children visited the Hindu Temple in Ashton, Y5 had an artist in residence in school, Y3 and 4 children had a Viking visitor for the a day, the Samba band took part in a musical event in Hyde and are due to play at another musical event, and other such events have taken place in school.
Children have also had the opportunity to participate in after school sporting activities such as basket ball, hockey, dancing and badminton. Some of the children have also participated in a number of competitions.
We are looking forward to a challenging and enjoyable Summer term and the many events which the children will be involved in.

Basketball Final at Copley Recreation Centre
On Thursday 14th March the basketball team went to Copley Recreation centre to compete against other winning schools in Tameside. The children did an amazing job working as a team. They won two games and drew another. The team got through to the final 4 teams. Despite a valiant effort, we were beaten in the semi-finals. We did however get to meet two basketball players from the Manchester Giants.
